The Xbox Games with Gold August games have been revealed, with the critically acclaimed Dishonored headlining the Xbox 360’s free games for this month.
Both Xbox 360 and Xbox One users will get two free games in August, with Crimson Dragon and Strike Suit Zero becoming free downloads on August 1st, replacing Max: Curse of the Brotherhood and Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition. On the Xbox 360, Motorcross Madness will become free on August 1st, and will be replaced by Dishonored on August 16th.
Crimson Dragon was a launch title on the Xbox One, and is the spiritual successor to the Panzer Dragoon series. The on-the-rails shooter failed to impress in its initial launch, and achieved a metacritic score of just 56. Strike Suit Zero, has achieved some more notable success, and there is certainly dedicated group of fans who swear by this game. It certainly seems as though Microsoft will be continuing the trend of avoiding releasing retail games onto the Xbox Live Games with Gold service for Xbox One at the moment, and it’s unlikely that we’ll see any full retail games appear on the service until late 2014 at the earliest.
