World’s Greatest Sleuth Investigating Next-Gen
To some, Sherlock Holmes is the world’s greatest detective of the fictional world. He’s not only had films, but he’s also had video games based on him, a creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s genius.
The XBox 360 and PS3 received two great games by Frogwares and Atlus in Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack The Ripper and The Testament of Sherlock Holmes.
Rumored by a press release by Frogwares, the next title with the surname Crimes & Punishments, the newest installment in the series is receiving an overhaul of changes and upgrades, most notably a new game engine. The game will run on the Epic Unreal Engine 3, which will present richer environments and characters than that of the previous games.
A YouTube video of the game engine potentially hints at one possible conclusion of the investigation, possibly hinting at multiple endings based on player choice.
Holmes and company expect to bring their eccentricity to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC rumored sometime within the second quarter of this year, though that date can possibly fluctuate either way.
