Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella has confirmed on Twitter that Titanfall will not render at native 1080p on Xbox One. He was asked if a thread on titanfallforums.net which stated it would run at 1080p at launch was true, to which Zampella simply responded, “no”. From the thread it seemed clear that many were excited by the prospect of Titanfall being 1080p, unfortunately that is not the case.
This week it has been rumoured that Respawn Entertainment would release two patches pre-release which would get Titanfall to that magical 1080p following the Xbox One update coming in March. The Titanfall beta rendered at 792p. Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe has stated previously however that Titanfall at launch will be aiming to run natively at 900p. Still short of that golden 1080p, but still an improvement over 792p nonetheless.
Titanfall is available March 11 in North America and March 14 in UK on Xbox One and PC, with the game releasing on Xbox 360 on March 28.
Does the resolution Titanfall will run at bother you that much? Or are you just looking forward to getting your hands on the game come March? Let us know!
