Square Enix Files Trademark For “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided”

As of yesterday, Japan-based mega publisher Square Enix has filed a trademark for “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” prompting speculation that a brand new entry in the series is about to be unveiled.

Deus Ex of course is a classic FPS with RPG and Stealth mechanics set in an incredible cyberpunk world that borders on dystopian. The last primary entry was Deus Ex: Human Revolution released in 2011 which garnered a lot of praise from both fans and critics. It’s very possible that we may have the title of the series’ next installment but no other information was provided upon the trademark’s filing.

Is it going to be another tablet game like Deus Ex: The Fall or is it going to be a full console entry release? And if the ladder, for what platforms? One thing to keep in mind is that E3 is just a few months away. So it’s very possible we’ll be hearing more about this franchise in the near future.
