Sony has confirmed that a new update will be released in North America today for the PlayStation 4. Update 1.51 is a mandatory update which will improve the stability of system software and will also introduce minor refinements to the system UI. One new addition to the console coming in this update is that there will now be a clear indication of when a user downloads a game and a game patch at the same time.
The update will be automatically downloaded to your console while it is in standby as automatic downloads for system and game updates are enabled by default while the console is in standby mode.
Update 1.51 is the second to be released by Sony for PS4, with the first one being the day one update 1.50.
PlayStation 4 launches in the UK November 29.
