The Order: 1886 To Be Single-Player Only
In what may be music to the ears of many gamers, the upcoming third-person action-adventure PS4 title from Ready At Dawn Studios, The Order: 1886, has been confirmed to not feature any multiplayer modes.
“better to do one thing well than a whole bunch half-assed. We are trying to make a SP experience you will enjoy,” said Andrea Pessino, the chief technical officer for Ready At Dawn, who spilled the beans via his official Twitter account.
In related news, another key figure Ru Weerasuriya confirmed in a recent interview that the game will run at 30 FPS and be set in 1080p resolution. He explained that he and everybody within the studio feel this would be the best route to take for the game. “For us, the cinematic experience is in the foreground presented in full HD 1080p. In favor of spectacular effects and the highest resolution we restrict ourselves to a fluid 30 frames per second.”
While multiplayer is definitely the big thing right now, it’s encouraging that some studios behind big budget titles such as this are still dedicated to making a great single player experience. Hopefully we can get a better look at The Order in the near future.
