New AAA Game From Civilization Developer Firaxis Being Revealed At PAX

Thanks to the magic of Social Media, I was able to stumble upon a juicy piece of information earlier today:

According to their official Twitter account, 2K Games is set to announce a new AAA title from in-house developer, Firaxis Games, during the PAX East conference this weekend. The announcement in question will be made at approximately 11:30 AM Pacific Time at the DragonFly Theatre this Saturday.

Firaxis Games is the critically acclaimed developer behind the Civilization franchise as well as the recent hit XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Given their long and proven history within the realm of strategy games, It’s probably safe to expect this new game to be a new RTS. Will it be a new entry in the Civilization series, a sequel to XCOM, or something entirely new? We will just have to wait and see!

In addition to the new game announcement, 2K will also be showing off their upcoming competitive multiplayer shooter, Evolve, as well as Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
