Warhorse Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming realistic open-world medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The studio is hoping to raise £300,00, of which already over £230k has been raised in just a matter of days from over 7500 backers. Funding will conclude on Thursday, February 20. They are aiming for a Q4 2015 release, with the title heading to PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One and PS4.
But why should you be interested in Kingdom Come: Deliverance? The answer is simple. Warhorse studios are creating a realistic open-world game, set in the Medieval era. Unlike games such a Skyrim, Kingdom Come will not feature dragons or magic seen in other fantasy RPG’s. On the Kickstarter page, Warhorse state, “You will not find any dragons, half-naked Elven warriors, or wizards in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. At no point will you have to collect seven pieces of a legendary magic staff to defeat an ancient evil bent on destroying the world with an army of demons. We think there are enough such games out there.”
