FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup and World Cup Kick-Off mode delayed

The release of the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PC along with the World Cup Kick-Off mode for PS4 and Xbox One has been delayed, EA has announced. The two new game modes were planned to be released in an update today and have been delayed due to unforeseen issues. EA hope to have the update ready in the coming days.

On the FIFA 14 forums, EA explained, “To ensure the best possible experience, we have decided to delay the launch of FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup and the World Cup Kick-Off mode.”

“Knowing that our players have been so excited for these new modes made it a tough decision. However, as we progressed through final testing we encountered unforeseen issues that would affect all users who downloaded the update, so it’s important to address them first before release.”

FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup is a new game-mode being added within Ultimate team based on this summer’s World Cup Finals. Players will be able to build their ultimate team using players from all 32 nations represented in Brazil.  The FIFA World Cup Kick Off mode will introduce all 32 national teams competing at this year’s World Cup along with the official match ball on Xbox One and PS4.
