Fez has sold over 1 million copies!
Fez, the hugely popular indie game developed by Polytron, has now sold over 1 million copies across all platforms, its developer has confirmed. It was announced in a blog post, thanking gamers for purchasing the game.
“That’s right, a cool mil!
And we couldn’t have done it without you!
Thank you for buying the game!
Thank you for stealing it!
Thank you for telling your friends about it!
Thank you for buying it again when it came out on PC!
Thank you for boycotting it so well!
Thank you for putting up with the bullsh*t!
Thank you for all your love letters, fan art, cosplays and freakin’ tattoos you got, you crazy ba***rds!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
THANKS A MILLION!”
Despite surpassing the 1 million mark, there is still no indication that Fez 2 will see the light of day. Back in July, developer Phil Fish announced that he would be taking an indefinite break from game development following abuse he received on Twitter after declining to give his opinion on Xbox One’s policies.
Fish stated, “FEZ II is cancelled, I am done. I take the money and I run. This is as much as I can stomach. This is isn’t the result of any one thing, but the end of a long, bloody campaign. you win.”
