Dragon Ball Z fans rejoice! The demo for the new Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is now available to download on both PS3 and Xbox 360.
This is the newest Dragon Ball Z game to be released on consoles since the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection. Like many of the most recent entries of DBZ games, Battle of Z seems to retain many of the characteristics of the Tenkaichi fighting games. While this may be a turn off for some, nobody can object to the fact that the Tenkaichi-style games generally provide the explosive, high-flying action presented in the Dragon Ball Z manga and anime. Battle of Z, however, takes this a step further.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z presents a team-based fighting style similar to what was used in an older game, Dragon Ball Z: The Legend.
It looks like there can be teams of four that battle each other in an open, 3D-style environment. As if the Tenkaichi games didn’t pack enough action, now, that action is amplified with four times the amount of people.
While many were not happy with the way Ultimate Tenkaichi was very repetitive and didn’t allow the player much control, as far as skill goes, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z seems to give all of the power back to the player and is sure to bring exciting and unforgettable moments for fans of the Dragon Ball Z series.
