Boson X is a new rotational runner from Mu & Heyo. The idea of the game is to build up speed inside a massive particle accelerator and generate high-energy collisions to discover strange new particles. With precise timing and fast reflexes you must navigate a subatomic world where floors and ceilings don’t exist. Will you be fast enough to find the elusive Boson X?
The game has you playing as a scientist who has to run through these randomly generated tubes. As you run the tube builds in front of you as the planks slide, rotate and break around you. Your goal is to run through and get on the glowing blue planks so the percentage meter goes up. The percentage meter is there to indicate how much of the new particle you have discovered, once it hits 100% you have successfully discovered the new particle and completed the level.
Although you can quit and move onto the next level once 100% discovery is hit, you can also continue to run and gain a high score. Once you have completed the 100% the game will speed up and make it harder for you to continue, creating a further challenge.
The game gradually gets harder. It starts you at a basic level where most planks remain in there place and there is little challenge to be had, however once you progress to the harder levels planks will start to slide, move and all together be more annoying to try and catch you out.
This game is Available from their website and Desura for free. The game also contains no DRM, micro-transactions or analytics.
Although the game will bring you close to rage quitting, the moment you complete the level is super satisfying. You need to grab this game and especially as its free – If they added more levels and kept updating I would happily pay up to £10 for this game.
Its a very fun game to play – I’m already addicted!
