Adam Sessler Leaves Behind His Legacy

After 16 years of dedication to the video game industry, well-known video game journalist Adam Sessler has decided to leave behind his lasting legacy.

For those who don’t know Sessler, he’s well known for co-hosting the once fabled G4TV series “X-Play,” but before the days of G4, he got his start in 1998 as part of the ZDTV network, and then became a personality on TechTV while waiting for his break with co-hosting “X-Play” with Morgan Webb. Sessler was Editor-In-Chief at Revision3 and Executive Producer of Games Content at Rev3Games.

According to a blog post he made, and reported by Kotaku, Sessler said after sixteen years, he wanted something new.

“After some incredible achievements over the last year and a half, I am announcing my departure from Rev3 Games and Discovery Digital Networks. Sixteen years in front of the camera covering the videogame industry has brought me to a point where I am ready and desiring to explore new opportunities. While I would never say no to doing one more review, interview or opinion piece, the time feels right to explore new avenues inside of gaming that help further the medium. The audience, my wonderful and talented co-workers and the last year at Rev3 Games will forever be appreciated for what was accomplished. There never is a right time to part ways with something that has become as natural as breathing, but things do end and now feels right.”

According to his Twitter, he is President of Theory Head Inc. Mr. Sessler’s accomplishments as a highly-popular video game journalist will not be forgotten as he paved a future for aspiring journalists and changed the way people looked at video game journalism.
